SAFD Station 51 (Technical Rescue)
13 Aug 2011 - Introductory tour of San Antonio Fire Department Station 51 by Firefighter Melchor Fernandez. These were taken when Station 51 was located at Station 47, while their new home was under construction.
Station 51 is one of two Technical Rescue stations in San Antonio. It is composed of three trucks: Rescue 51 (the 40 Ton Tool Box to solve most any problem), Platform 51 (with the capability to extend 100 ft high to reach out and touch the fire with water cannons) and Engine 51 with its 500 gallons of onboard water.
