May 10, 2008, Smithson Valley High School, Spring Branch, Texas: Boerne Greyhounds defeat New Braunfels Canyon Cougars 10-6 in Game 3 of Texas High School District 4A second round baseball play-offs. In the bottom of the fifth Boerne's Taylor Davis (#11) tripled. After an overthrown ball at 3rd base Davis attempts to score, but is blocked by the Cougar catcher, Tiger Ogle (#20). The collision resulted in the benches emptying. The game resumed following ejection of three Boerne players and two Canyon players, including Davis and Ogle. The game ended with a grand slam home run by Boerne's Niko Gonzalez, a junior who had never hit over the fence and was pinch-hitting for an ejected player.
