A mix of photos from the week...
- Cliff fishing near Poipu, Kauai
- Endangered Monk Seal, usually seen roped off while they sleep on beaches covered with humans roasting in the sun.
- Rooster, chickens are the most prolific and visible bird on Kauai. Apparently many of the fighting cocks escaped during the hurricane of 1992 and have been multiplying happily ever since. Apparently the native and introduced owls and dogs don't want to tangle with them.
- Nene's are the official bird of Hawaii, but aren't native to Kauai.
- Waimea Canyon - This is a miniature Grand Canyon and one of my favorite places on Kauai. 5200 above sea level...and you can see 'sea level'.
- Sea Turtles in the surf near Spouting Horn, Po'pui, Kauai.
