Arizona - Canyon de Chelly (2015)
Canyon de Chelly, Navaho Lands Arizona. (2015)

The Canyon is noted for being continuously occupied longer than any other site in North America, with the Navaho as the most current residents.
Tours into the National Monument must be lead by a Navaho vendor. North and south rims are open to anyone with some great lookouts into the canyon.
I used Beauty Way Jeep Tours. Great company, but pretty much a convoy as all the groups tend to do a morning and afternoon trip. If you have the time, consider the four or five hour round-trip.
This was a somewhat historic event as there had been so much rain we weren't sure we'd be able to get in and back, but all was great. Want to know more? Check out the following websites:
